Our beloved father, Pieter Post passed away on June 7, 2022 at the age of 87. Cherishing his memory are his wife, Jitske Bergsma; his children, Joe (Shaylene) Post, Cathrine (Brian) Meier, Pamela (David) Westerman and Stephen Post; his grandchildren, Jahlessa Matatall, Margaret Westerman and Chistopher Westerman; his siblings, Tietje Terpstra, Neeltje Lyclama and Sieger (Grace) Post; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pieter was predeceased by two of his sons, Daniel Quinn (1975) and Daniel Mark (1977-2022); his parents, Johannes and Trijntje Post; his siblings, Pietje deHaan, Petronella Tolsma, Sakje Sybesma, Freek Post and the spouses of six of his siblings. Pieter was born March 2, 1935 in Tzummarum, Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada in 1952, with his parents and two of his siblings (Nellie and Sam). The family eventually settled on a farm in Agassiz, BC. Where he met and married Jitske Bergsma in 1964 and a few years later started their family, he provided for his family with various jobs and lots of love over the years. Pieter and Jitske officially separated in 1997 and Pieter moved to Leader, SK in 2006, where he lived until his passing into Glory. A special thank you to all in Leader who helped with Pieter’s care though out the years, you all were very special to him.
