Phyllis Graham (née Martin). March 17, 1932-
February 23, 2022. (almost 90) It is with great sadness that the
family of Phyllis Graham (née Martin) announce her passing
on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her nieces; Beth
Galama and Jane (Walter ) Drescher “her girls”, many dear
cousins and friends.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Rev. Murray Graham.
(March, 2014). Parents Charles and Eda Martin, sister Donna Webber
(Larry) and many family and friends.
Phyllis received her early education at Hillsborough Schools
and was a graduate of the University of Moncton. As a teacher she
taught at various business schools in Moncton, having last taught at
Harrison Tremble High School. After teaching she married Rev. Murray
Graham and loved her life as a pastor’s wife. Together they
served our Lord through the Presbyterian church in Nova Scotia (River
John, Toney River), New Brunswick (Campbellton) and far beyond. She
led roles in Bible studies, youth ministry, woman’s
ministry, overseas missions and more.
One of her greatest gifts was in her discipleship and the
many friends and family who came to know Jesus through knowing
Phyllis. Her family will miss her big presence in their lives but
rejoices knowing she is in peace and resting as the good and faithful
servant.
To know her, was to be loved by her; not just by humans but
by dogs too. She often had dog treats in her pocket for special
‘friends’ she might meet on her walks. She was
‘like a Mom/Grandma’ to countless friends. Phyllis
spent many hours on the sidelines of ball fields or skating rinks
cheering on hundreds of kids. She cherished her many years in the
Pointe du Chene community and will be sadly missed by all of her
friends and neighbours. Phyllis’ super power was love. She
loved to serve our Lord by serving others. In that spirit, even in her
passing she fulfilled her wish and many organizations will be blessed
for years to come.
A time of Music and Memories will be held from the Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm. With a
reception to immedietly follow.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the
form of contributions to the Overseas Mission Fund (OMF)
www.missionfund.org and/ or Operation Smile Canada www.operationsmile.ca
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the
wonderful and compassionate health care supports at Moncton Hospital
and Briarlea Care Home and to those who helped to keep ‘her
girls’ informed.
Phyllis rests at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) until further plans.
