LICHTI, Phyllis Ann (Bast)
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Phyllis was born in South Easthope Township 76 years ago, a daughter of the late Ezra and Lena (Bast) Stere.
Phyllis was the devoted mother of Jennifer Lichti, Jeff Lichti and wife Cheryl Ann Whippy, and Michelle Reynolds and husband Brian. Proud grandmother of Emma, Maxwell and Meredith Reynolds, whom she cherished her time with. Phyllis will be remembered by her siblings; Laurene Zehr, Mary Ellen Ruby, Sharon and husband Donald Gingerich, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; Patricia Bast, David and Mary Ann Lichti, Ferne Loewen, Arbutus and Ron Sider, Wayne and Candie Lichti, D’Arcy and Sylvia Lichti and Stephen and Darlene Lichti. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends over the years.
Predeceased by her father and mother, sister Audrey and husband Gordon Steinman, brother, Glen Bast; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Edward Zehr, John ”Jack” Ruby, Harold and wife Elsie Lichti, Violet Lichti, Dorothy Lichti and Linda Lichti.
Phyllis was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who enjoyed caring for others, reading, walking, embroidery and baking.
As requested by Phyllis, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Nithview Community for the kind and compassionate care shown to Phyllis during her stay there.
