On Friday March 04/22, PHILIP JOHN MORRISON passed away suddenly at the age of 66. He was the loving husband of Linda since April 02/77, and was a father to two children, Brett and Lisa. Phil was born in Toronto to parents James and Jean Morrison. He grew up and lived with his family in Scarborough until moving to Newcastle in 1991. He worked for the City of Toronto as an Incinerator Operator until retiring. First and foremost, Phil was the family’s “rock”, always stepping up to the plate when needed. He was a great provider … if you needed anything, he’d do his best to help. Phil loved exploring on his motorcycle throughout Durham/Northumberland Region’s county roads. He was an active craftsman, gardener, and a lover or sports … a true Leaf/Jays Fan!
Phil was predeceased by father James and daughter Lisa. Survived by wife Linda, son Brett, Mother Jean, Sister Pam, Brother Edward, Grandchildren Natalie, Bennett and James, niece, nephews and numerous cousins.
No service will be held. A celebration of life with family and close friends will be held at a future date. Donations, if you wish may be made to Durham Hospice.
