Mr. Philip James (Jim) Liddicoat was born April 9, 1934. Jim was a long-time resident of South Gillies Township and passed away peacefully August 23, 2022, in Hogarth Riverview Manor. He was born and raised on West Oliver Lake Road. He married Gwen Ree on August 24th, 1957. Jim is survived by his children Philip (Dan) (Carmen) Liddicoat, Karen (Tony) Woods, and Penny (Mike) Kramer. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Dwayne and Kristina (Emily and Patrick), Alan, Cory and Teresa (Ariella), Debra and Aaron (Kayla (Alex), Stephen and Elena (Jacey and Collin), Megan and Brad, Katie and Chris, and Michael James. He is also survived by his sisters Vivian and Irma. Jim was predeceased by his wife Gwen in 2020, his parents George and Henrietta, brothers John, William, Ernie, Wilbert, Charles and sisters, Mary, Agnes and Blanche. Jim retired from the MTO in Hymers. He always kept a hobby farm, with a special love for horses. For many years he was the night watchman at the Hymers Fall Fair. Both Jim and Gwen loved spending time with family and friends. They will be greatly missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
