Whitehead, Philip Herbert (1931 – 2022)
Peacefully on January 31, 2022, Philip passed away from this life in his 90th year. Predeceased and reunited with his beloved wife and best friend of 54 years, Carolyn. Dear father of Christopher (Terry), Burlington, Ontario and Pam (Russ) Proulx, Fonthill, Ontario. Proud grandfather of Eric, Chantelle Proulx and Jill Whitehead.
Predeceased by his brother Bruce Whitehead (2012) and sister-in-law Eleanor Whitehead (2021). Philip was born in Toronto, Ontario on June 24, 1931 moving to the Niagara area in the early 1950’s, marrying the love of his life Carolyn on July 3, 1954.
Philip was a longtime employee of General Motors for 45 years as a pattern maker. Philip enjoyed his passion of sailing and boating as a sea-scout leader and later as an active member of the Port Dalhousie yacht club. Philip enjoyed sailing with his wife, son and daughter for a number of years. Later spending winters (as snowbirds) in the state of Florida.
