Passed suddenly on March 14, 2022 in his 81st year. Born in Berest, Lemkivshchyna (Poland) on April 1, 1940, he survived World War II and the forced re-settlement of Ukrainians, Operation Vistula. Beloved husband for 41 years to his devoted wife Antonina, cherished father of Alexander and his wife Melissa and Roman and his wife Iryna. Dearly loved brother of Andrij of Mississauga and Dozia of Glogow, PL. Petro is survived by his grandchildren Maxym, Alina and Mila, whom he very much adored and many nephews, nieces, extended family and dear friends. He was predeceased by his loving parents Petro and Anna Maslej, brothers Alexander, Ivan and sisters Maria, Antonina, Sonia and Rose. Petro touched the lives of many friends who will remember him for his dedication to generosity, apiculture, horticulture and political discussion. Petro’s family and friends are heartbroken of his sudden passing.

A panachyda will be held on March 16, 2022 at 7pm at Turner and Porter, 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON.
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 300 River Oaks Blvd E, Oakville, ON at 10am on March 17, 2022.
