In Celebration of
Peter Williamson
June 7, 1942 –
December 3, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Peter Murray Williamson. Peter was surrounded by his family and their love. Peter was a larger than life man, always with his quick wit and gentle guidance. Peter’s great loves in life were his family, golf and baseball. His weekends were filled with early mornings walking his 18 holes at St.George’s, especially the morning of Sept.4th 1987 at the 3rd hole when he got a hole in 1. He spent many summer days & evenings at The Blue Jays games with his headphones on cheering on the team. His professional life as a chartered accountant took him from Downtown Toronto to far off places like Brazil & Haiti. He spent many hours volunteering with The Kiwanis Club and Humber Valley Hockey Association. In his younger days in Scotland Peter was an avid & talented rugby player. He emigrated to Canada at the age of 16 but always stayed a proud Glaswegian and citizen of Scotland.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Astrid, his two children Keir (Bianca) Williamson, Lara (Marko) Borys and his 3 loving grandchildren Anson & Maya Borys and Sam Williamson. Spending time texting about sports with Anson, cutting cookie dough with Sam and hearing how his “favourite granddaughter” was doing brought Peter Joy.
