Obituary
Peter Stewart West, born in Almonte, Ontario on March 24, 1937, died at home on Friday March 11, 2022. Schooled in Renfrew, Ontario, he held careers covering paper routes, driving alfalfa trucks, to surveillance over the Atlantic waters with the RCAF as a flying officer aboard the Argus. He also served with the Search & Rescue Albatross, covering the East Coast providing aid for those in distress. Peter returned to school to complete his engineering degree at University of Manitoba. He then joined Chevron Canada Resources, a career he much enjoyed and valued. With retirement came coaching, life counseling, teaching, and volunteering.
Peter’s greatest joys were his children Alana, Jay and Noelle, and THE grandchildren Emilie, Olivia, Madeline, Baylee, Reagan and Aaron. Peter’s words, “a joy not understood, until you are a grandparent”, and his wife Roseanne of 60 years, “who endured, consoled and fed him”.
Peter’s celebration of life will be privately held.
