It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Roy on Thursday,
March 3, 2022 at the age of 68 due to complications of surgery at Mackenzie Health Centre. Beloved husband of Karen, nee Nurse of 43 years. Peter spent much of his adult life working at TV Ontario, and after his retirement, spent the next 7 years as a crossing guard in Richmond Hill, a job that he looked forward to everyday. He was also a great follower of the Leafs and loved nothing better than having the opportunity to ride his motorcycle when the weather was good.
Predeceased by his parents Elziar and Georgette Roy, his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Donna Roy. Will be sadly missed by his sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and extended family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, on Sunday, March 13th, 2022, between 2 pm and 4 pm. Masks are mandatory. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation and the Farley Foundation as Peter was a great lover of animals.
