Peter John Robins
1954-2022
Peter Robins, of Pointe-du-Chene, NB was born in Moncton, NB
to the late Harold and Joyce Robins and passed away at the young age
of 67 after suffering a recent illness at The Moncton Hospital on
February 19, 2022.
He is survived by his wife Gwen, brother Ben, daughter
Vanessa, granddaughter Brooklyn, stepchildren Katlyn Breneol (Tommy)
and Derek Breneol (Kara), step grandchildren Keena, Sitara, and
Kepler, and nieces Jennifer Robins and Andrea Robins. Besides his
father in 2002 and mother in 2008, he is predeceased by his brother
Gregory in 2001.
Peter lived his life with an entrepreneurial spirit and
passion for business. He was in management for Woolco Company in
Moncton before packing up and moving west to Alberta where he began
his experience with a Tim Horton’s, Bosley’s Pet
Food Mart, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate – to name a few. Suffering
from an illness of Crohn’s, he underwent many surgeries and
ended up receiving an ileostomy. Peter found out the
supplies needed for his body changes were not available and there was
a need for education, with $1000 from his Dad, he set out to build a
supply network for the specialty products needed for ostomy care. He
established a partnership and the company became Best Buy Medical
Supplies located in Shediac and is Canada’s top medical
supplies distributor. He has since sold his shares and was enjoying
the retirement life.
Cremation of his body has taken place at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview
(869-2007). A celebration of life will be delayed until summer and
held at his family cottage in Pointe-du-chene where he worked so hard
to have the perfect lawn and gardens to share with family and friends.
He will be missed more than anyone will ever know by his family and
long-time friends.
Donations in memory of Peter would be greatly appreciated for
Crohn’s and Colitis Canada and Friends of the Moncton
Hospital, where he spent his last days in the Sharon Harrison Medical
Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Mohamad and many others, especially his
nurses (you know who you are) did everything they could for
him. He left us in the arms of his wife who was by his side
through this troubling time.
