Peter Glenn Crossman
1938-2022
Peter Crossman of Dieppe (formerly of Riverview) passed away
on January 20, 2022 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in
Sackville, he was the son of the late Alexander Glenn and Dorothy
(Mills) Crossman. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased
by his sister Patricia Lekas.
Peter lived in Moncton and Riverview most of his life
attending Moncton schools and Horton Academy, Acadia University,
Wolfville, NS.
He was active in business at a young age as well as having a
lengthy career with the Department of Justice, Policing Services
Branch, as an Inspector and Federal Firearms Officer, retiring in
1999. He was also a member of ILEA (The International Law
Enforcement Association).
Peter was a former member of Acacia Lodge F and AM; Botsford
Chapter: Ivanhoe Perseptary and The Shrine and Luxor Temple.
He loved the forest and waterways of New Brunswick and was an avid
fisherman. A founding member of the Aberdeen Angling Club
and Lodge in Doaktown, NB, he served as its first President and was
also a licensed guide for almost 50 years.
He is survived by his wife Joan (McKean) Crossman, his two
daughters, Alexandra (Joseph) Lafford of Sackville, NB (granddad to
William, Jeffrey, and Thomas), and Alison (Mark) Davidson of
Riverview, NB (granddad to Gillian, Ella, and Lauren). He
will also be missed by Joan’s son Chris (Joanne) Fawcett and
was granddad to their daughters, Callie and Dylann.
The family invites friends and family to pay their respects
anytime from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Satuday March
19, 2022. The interment will take place at Fair Haven cemetery. His
arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).
