Obituary
Pero “Peter” Vidovich
November 5, 1942 – September 15, 2022
Just shy of his 80th birthday, Peter passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 15.
Born to Pavao and Ane in the village Osunja, in Žumberak, Hrvatska Republic, former Jugoslavija, Peter’s childhood was shaped by post-war Europe, making him into the man we knew and loved: resilient, honourable, dutiful and loyal. He immigrated to Canada in 1966, just in time to experience “the last year the Leafs won the Stanley Cup.” He was a proud Canadian Citizen, grasping a strong command of a new language well into his 20s. A Class A Mechanic, he was able to diagnose engine trouble with even the most seemingly benign symptoms. Most of all, he was a dedicated husband, proud father and uncle, and smitten grandfather.
Peter leaves behind his wife Emica, children Gloria, Paula and Peter (Erin), and grandchildren Milo and Neve. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Pajo, Janko, Tomo and Dragica. He will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to McMaster Children’s Hospital or Joseph Brant Hospital.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22 at Kopriva Taylor at 2-4:00 & 7-9:00, 64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville. Masks appreciated, but not mandatory. Graveside Service to be held on Friday, September 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line Oakville.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Pero Peter Vidovich November 5 1942 September 15 2022..
