Obituary of Penny Howard
(nee Brohart)
(Buyer – Nylene, Canada)
On the morning of Monday, July 4, 2022 and while surrounded by loved ones and in the comfort of her own home, Penny surrendered and was called home following a courageous and sometimes arduous battle through cancer. She was only 61. Beloved wife and best friend of Bob. Dearly loved mother of Sheila Carruthers (Devin), Nicole McMillan (Josh), Lindsay Howard (Phil Eli) and Jaclyn Howard (Travis Gladowski). Cherished and doting Grandma of Lacey, Hailey, Meadow, Layla and Poppy. Much loved sister of Ruth McLean (Allen), Joy McMunn (Dave), Judy Bishop (late Dave), Lori O’Connor (late Terry) and Mark Brohart (Donna). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and so many great friends. Daughter of the late Reginald “Reg” and Donna Brohart, Penny is also survived by her stepmother, Elva. Penny loved life. She wasn’t a quitter. She did everything she could to live each day to the fullest never backing down from challenges that lay ahead. Her sheer will and determination made her a survivor and became an inspiration to those who knew her. Her spirit will certainly live on in the family and friends she so reluctantly left behind. She has left a space that can never be filled. She will be missed. Her final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. A service to honor Penny’s life will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel, at 10 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In her memory, please consider a donation to Hospice Renfrew.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Penny
