Peggy passed away peacefully on June 8, 2022, at the age of 61, in Windsor, Ontario, in the arms of her children and mother after a long journey of health concerns. Though cancer took her away from this world, her loving heart, giving nature, and infectious smile have left a beacon of light for all in her community. Peggy is survived by her parents, John and Lillian Bednarik and brothers Mark (Donna), Patrick (Janice Thompson), and pre-deceased by her sister Katherine. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion to her three children Alexandra (Zachary Livingston), Andrea (Stephanie Hill) and Anthony (Carly Steer) whom she raised with her former spouse, Richard. Peggy is also survived by Jerome Parent, her loving partner in crime, and his two children Adrienne and Justin. She will be forever remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Peggy will live through all the ways that we help others, see the beauty in the world, and embrace life’s adventures. A special thanks to Peggy’s entire medical team, including the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff in the Cancer Centre and Intensive Care Unit at WRH-Metropolitan Campus, as well as at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and Sunday, June 12, 2022, 1-4 pm, with Parish Prayers at 2 pm at Families First, South Windsor. Memorial Mass to celebrate Peggy’s life will take place Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11 am, with Words of Remembrance at 10:45 am at Corpus Christi Church, 1400 Cabana Road West. A livestream of Peggy’s service will be available on her online profile.
