Paul Joseph Lepage Wednesday June 8 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family of Paul Lepage announce his passing on Wednesday June 8, 2022. Paul passed after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Campbellton, NB, on February 22, 1943, survived by his wife Dianne (Ostler) Lepage of Fredericton, NB.
A loving husband and father, Paul (Papa) is also survived by his daughters, Michelle Skead (Andy) and Lynne Lepage (Chris Warren); grandchildren, Taylor and Reese Warren; sisters, Marie Onorato (Mike) and Lucille Real (Jim); sisters-in-law, Gilberte Lepage and Lois Lepage. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Auguste and Feodora (Renault) Lepage; brothers, George and Gerard Lepage; sisters, Gertrude Buckley (Hugh); and Rita LeBlanc (Alex).
He grew up in Campbellton, NB, the youngest of seven siblings. Upon graduating from Assumption High School in Campbellton, Paul received a Business Administrative Diploma from N.B.I.T in Moncton. Paul then graduated from the University of Moncton with a BA degree, before specializing in Industrial Relations. He had a distinguished career as a Mediator with the Province of New Brunswick in Industrial Relations and Employment Standards. He retired in 2002 as the Director after 33 years of service.
Paul enjoyed traveling, attending Mass at Saint Dunstans, music (singing), cheering on Les Canadiens de Montreal, fishing with Dick Tingley and friends on the Miramichi, photography, camping with his family, walking the dogs, making wine with his neighbor Ray, and preparing his famous Sunday dinners for the family. In his younger years he was a champion athlete in tennis, badminton, and softball. He was also an avid squash player and curler. Wherever Paul went, his charismatic personality always made him the life of the party.
He will be remembered as a devoted father, husband, loyal friend and colleague to many. Paul volunteered for many years at the Fredericton Gymnastics Club while his daughters pursued their competitive gymnastics. He served on various boards and was passionate about volunteering in his community. He was a well-respected man you could count on for anything.
There will be no visitation, however, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church on Monday, August 29, at 12 pm (noon). A family interment will take place in the Hermitage Catholic Cemetery at 3:45 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick in Paul’s memory.
