Obituary for
Pauline Eleniak
Pauline Eleniak, a much loved Mom, Baba and great Baba, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 after a quiet but courageous battle with lung cancer.
Pauline was born on October 3, 1938, at home on the farm by Bruderheim to parents Maria and John Kutt.
She had many stories of growing up on the farm and spending time with her siblings. She went to school in Bruderheim and finished her schooling in Lamont.
She met and married Peter J. Eleniak in November 1956. They lived in Chipman where they had four children and eventually moved to Lamont. After Peter’s passing in 1992 she retired from working at Lamont Auxiliary Hospital and moved to Fort Saskatchewan.
Pauline had many favourite things in her life, involving hours of talking on the phone, good times with friends at the Pioneer House floor curling, playing cards and socializing. She could be found watching Survivor, The Young and the Restless and The Amazing Race, as they were favourites of hers. She was a fan of the Edmonton Oilers, Edmonton Eskimos and enjoyed watching any curling. Her faith and church were important to Pauline, and when she was unable to go to church, she made sure she watched mass on television.
