Pauline Margaret Stewart
1952-2022
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB, following
a brief illness, Mrs. Pauline Margaret (Harmon) Stewart, beloved wife
of Allan F. Stewart of Bethel NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on June 9,
1952, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Doris (Henry)
Harmon.
A loving wife, step mother, step grandmother, sister and
aunt, in addition to her beloved husband Allan, she is survived by her
step children: Paul Stewart of Pennfield NB and Sherry Legere of
Halifax NS; step grandchildren: Andrew Legere of Bathurst, Laurie
(Nick) Deal of Halifax NS, Darren (Sherry) Stewart and Sachairi
(Joseph) both of Fredericton NB, and Cierra Stewart and Anna Lynn
Matthews (Patrick Rinchat) both of Saint John NB; step
great-grandchildren: Kegan, Allison, Jace, Charlotte, Tobias and Nova;
brothers: Raymond Coughlan (Sandra) of Fredericton NB, Don Giberson of
Oakville ON and Paul (Rhona) Harmon of Bocabec NB; her sister; Nancy
Thorne (Raymond Deveau) of Bocabec NB; beloved niece: Julie Ross; her
precious babies: Logan, Griffin and Addison who brought her so much
joy; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her
parents, she was predeceased by a stepson: Michael
Stewart.
Prior to her retirement, Pauline worked at various positions
over the years, from operating “Lawsons Grocery,” a
convenience store in Bethel NB for several years as well as “The
Clothesline” for her niece Julie. She was no stranger to hard
work as she worked a number of years in the blueberry industry for
Granite Town Farms. Pauline loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and
singing, especially with her husband Allan. She loved the outdoors an
could be found over the years with her Allan, motorcycling and camping
with friends and family and being the party leader.
Pauline loved her family and will be fondly remembered for
her love of Christmas, dressing up on Halloween, wearing funny hats
and just plain having fun. She loved life, having fun and was a child
at heart, affectionately known as “Tigger” as indicated on
her personalized plate. She also had a special place in her heart for
her church family at St. Marks Anglican Church where she was a long
time devoted member, as well as Granite Town Seniors. Pauline will be
greatly missed by her many family and friends.
There will be no visiting. A memorial service and celebration
of her life will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, St George NB
on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mary Anne Langmaid
officiating. Due to family health concerns, we ask that you please
wear a mask to the memorial service. Interment at the Church of The
Transfiguration Cemetery in Bethel at a later date. In Pauline’s
memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
