Obituary
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of, D Pauline MacArthur. She passed away peacefully at the Comox Valley Hospital in Courtenay, BC on May 29, 2022. She was 95 years young.
She was the former Pauline Scott, born on March 31th 1927, daughter of the late George and Vivian Scott of Temperance Vale, NB.
She resided in Woodstock for many years and in 2009 moved to British Columbia, where she lived the remaining years of her life.
She is survived by two sons, Peter [Beverley] MacArthur, Courtenay, BC and Brent [Nola] MacArthur, Eel River Lake, NB.
Grandchildren: John, Adam, Amanda Rairdon and Victoria Caines; Brent and Christy McNeil; Mac and Zachary MacArthur. Eight great grand children. A sister, Vera Bradbury of Nackawic, NB. Two brother-in-laws, Jack Moffatt, Harvey, NB and Bill McArthur, Courtenay, BC. Also several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased besides her parents: Brother Owen Frederick Scott; Sister Ella Myra Moffatt; Husband Paul Gilbert MacArthur; Infant daughter Patricia Gail Wood; Daughter Susan Vivian Rairdon; Long time companion Ron Olmstead.
There will be a family Celebration of Life in Courtenay, BC on the 9th of July 2022. Also a public Celebration of Life in Woodstock, NB at the Connell House on the 14th of July 2022 from 1pm – 3pm.
There will be a private burial service at the Kirk Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pauline may be made to Valley Food Bank, Carleton County Animal Shelter or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Personal Condolences to the family and donations may be made through Carleton Funeral Home, Jacksonville, NB.
