Obituary
It is with tremendous sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Paula Elizabeth Broaders on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Predeceased by her parents: Cyril and Ellen Broaders; siblings: Tom, Gordon and Betty Broaders.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving son Sean (Angela) O’Shaughnessy; her adored grandsons: Kayden and Liam; siblings; Danny (Jessie), Doreen and Jen (Bruce) Layman, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.
Paula will always be remembered for her zest for life, her love for her family, how proud she was of her adored grandsons. Paula loved company her positive attitude and smile made her easy to talk to. She loved being active and enjoyed dancing as well as singing in her church choir. Her beautiful singing voice and passion for music could be heard with St. Peter’s Parish choir, her church family will certainly miss her. We have endless memories of Paula that we will forever hold in our hearts.
She was an amazing mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00 am from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 10:00 am at Holy Sepulchre Columbarium.
As expressions of sympathy donations made be made in Paula’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
