Paula Clare June Buck
June 5, 1945 – September 13, 2022
Passed peacefully away on September 13, 2022 age 77 years, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Rita Murphy, brother John Murphy, sister Eileen Cleary and her parents-in-law Cyril and Catherine Buck.
Left to mourn husband Frank, sons Robert (Mary Nash) Keith (Kristin Eckberg). Grand daughters Emily (Stephen Squires) and Sarah; grandsons Gus, Andrew and Teddy. Sister, Marie Janes. Sisters-in-law Carmel Murphy and Barbara (Jack Power); close friend Annie Broderick. Along with many nieces and nephews in the Buck and Murphy families.
Paula had a distinguished and satisfying career of 27 years with Environment Canada, retiring in 2006. She dedicated much of her life to service in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Father John B. Kent Council in Mount Pearl. She volunteered regularly in service to her parish and community of Mount Pearl.
Paula had a smile that would always light up a room. She smiled with her eyes; that was a Murphy trait. She had an incredibly warm and pleasant demeanor that naturally attracted people to her company.
Special thanks to Dr. Julia Curtis and the medical, nursing and housekeeping staff at the GPAU -North 2A Waterford hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
Visitation to be held at Caul’s Funeral home on LeMarchant Road: Friday Sept 16; 2-4pm, 7-9pm and Saturday Sept 17; 2-4 pm, 7-9pm.
Service to be held at Mary Queen of the World Parish, Topsail Road on Monday Sept 19th at 1:30 pm.
Interment to follow at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Galway.
