It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Paul Waind, on Saturday October 29th, 2022, in his 91st year, due to complications from a recent fall. Paul is survived by his son Matt, step-sons John (Linda) and Fraser, daughter-in-law Bonnie Mochrie, sister Mary Waind, and 4 grandchildren, Adam, Kaitie, Alex, and Jordan. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara, and dear son Mark, brother Hugh Waind, and former spouse, Carole Ann Way, mother to Matt and Mark.
Paul grew up in Elora, Ontario, and has resided in Hamilton, Ontario for the majority of his life, working for the Real Estate Department at City of Hamilton until his retirement. He had a passion for hunting, baseball, and the outdoors, and spent much of his time with Barbara, and family and friends at his beloved Buddy-Bea Hunt Camp in Haliburton Forest. He was grateful for his family, and for the good friends and neighbours who remained by his side for most of his life. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. Cremation has taken place to be followed by a private family service.
