Paul Tremblay Sunday May 8th 2022

Tremblay, Paul
1972 -2022
It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Paul Rene Tremblay, surrounded by his loving family on May 8th, 2022. Paul is survived by his beloved wife Debbie (nee Chorney) and their two beautiful daughters Emma and Olivia. He is also survived by his sister Lynn Walker (Wayne), his twin brother Brian Tremblay (Julie), his half brother Guy Tremblay (Wilda), his half sister Renée Comtois (Michel), his sister-in-law Diane Chorney, and his brother-in-law Dan Chorney (Nancy); his nieces and nephews Alex Zerkee (Kathleen), Jesika Walker (Arthur) and Meghan Walker (Kent), Brendan and Jenna Tremblay, Kiefer Patriquin (Khayla), Alexandra Demers (Marco and their children Quinn and Addie), Maya Chorney, and Travis and Jillian Chorney. He will also be greatly missed by his Aunt Diann Youmans (Grant) and his cousin Al Youmans (Liisa), who was like a big brother to him. Paul was predeceased by his parents Jean-Guy and Donna (nee Miller) and his father-in-law Dan Chorney.
Paul met Debbie, the love of his life, in junior-kindergarten. They started dating in high school, were married in 1993 and built a happy life together with their two daughters. Paul dedicated his life to them and was their greatest supporter no matter what they undertook. His pride for his girls was simply unmatched.
Paul worked at Northern Telephone for 26 years and made many friendships during his career. He is remembered fondly as being a good natured and easygoing guy who always offered a smile and a helping hand. Paul made some great friends throughout his life, the best of them being Chris Brousseau and Jean-Guy Houde who remained by his side through the entirety of his life.
Paul loved the outdoors and was always active. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed camping with his family and they had many memorable adventures through the years. Hockey remained one of his great passions. He was an ice and ball hockey referee for over twenty years and he was a devoted fan of his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs until the very end.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Golden Manor, his West 2 family, and especially Janice Engley, who was such a wonderful part of Paul’s daily life. Thank you to Dr Auger, as well as the doctors and nurses at TDH.
The family will receive friends at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home on Friday, May 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntington Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences or donations can be made at www.lessardstephens.com

  1. To all of Paul’s family, please accept our sincere sympathies and condolences. We’ve known Paul since 1974, when we moved to Timmins, living in the appartment above the Tremblay family on Rea Street for three years. Our oldest son Dan was 2 weeks older than Paul and became good friends with him and Brian, going to Sacré Coeur and Thériault together. I taught both Paul, Brian and Debbie in Grade 9-10 English at Thériault. We have great memories which we still cherish. Richard & Heather Bordeleau
