Paul Raymond Massey 2022

In Love & Remembrance
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Raymond Massey on September 14th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved Husband to Linda. Beloved Father to Chris (Marney) and Tricia. Stepfather to Brian and Kris. Loving Grandfather to Paddy, Meghan, Austin, Ethan and Logan. Dear Brother to David and Sister Nonie (Steve). “Grandpa” to furbabies, Gracie and Murphy. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Paul was born and raised in Cobourg, Ontario. The eldest Son of Lloyd and Bernice Massey, Paul learned to love sports at an early age and was fast on his feet, whether it was at the rink or the ball field. He shared his love of sport with his children and grandchildren, traveling near and far for games and tournaments. He was a member of the first Cobourg Cougars hockey team and was honored in 2016 for being part of this organization. Paul enjoyed watching his beloved Leafs and Blue Jays.
Family and friends will miss his gift for storytelling and how he was always ready for a laugh and a joke.
In honour of his love for bees and beekeeping, a commemorative educational program for local schools is being created. This fund will help students learn about the importance of honey bees to nature and the world. Contact Chris at cmassey97@gmail.com for more information, and to donate to this worthy cause. A Celebration of Life for Paul will occur on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg from 1-3pm.
