Paul Arthur Julien 2022

December 19, 1930 ~ February 3, 2022
Paul Arthur Julien passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 3, 2022 at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home at the age of 91. Despite suffering with dementia and lung cancer, he still liked to joke around with the helpful and caring staff.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Marguerite Bailey, his second wife, Josephine Jenvenne, and his son, Paul Jr.
He is survived and will be missed by his children, Jean (Henriette), Francine Bichel (Ken), Guy, Jacques (Shelley), Marc, and Claude (Sylvette); as well as numerous step children in the Jenvenne family, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren in the Julien and Jenvenne families.
Born on December 19, 1930 in Lac-aux-Sables, Quebec, Paul raised his family and worked primarily in mining throughout Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Also, being a consummate handyman, he never shied away from any household, appliance, or bicycle repairs. He loved travelling and he toured most of Canada and the United States. He also visited a good portion of Europe and the Holy Land.
As a devout Catholic, he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and he loved to help people in need.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church in Lac du Bonnet. Interment will follow the service in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Ave W., 16th Floor Toronto, ON M4R 1K8; or the Cancer Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9 will be gratefully accepted.
