Obituary
The Lord has called her Home. Having gracefully outlived all expectations with dementia and cancer, Patsy Jordan, beloved mother to Lois Jordan, Leslie Jordan (Niall), Marcia Stephens (Jason) and Ekem Dick (Danya), quietly said goodbye on the evening of December 15, 2022. She spent her final days at home, in the constant company, love and care of family and friends. She is further survived by her sisters Lystra, Lorna, Daphne and Carolyn; now reunited with her parents, Hilary and Elaine, her brothers Horace (Sonny), Randolph, Clinton, Steve and Trevor. She will be dearly missed by the many people whose lives she touched, including several who considered her a second mom (affectionately, Ms. Patsy).
She was an incredible educator and a dedicated servant to her community. She had a strong belief in charity and volunteerism, particularly with youth. A woman of faith, God was her strength and counselor throughout her life. She was the strongest woman we knew, brilliant, kind, a fighter in every sense and…hilarious. She loved to laugh at her own jokes, which endeared her to us even more. We will forever miss her smile, hugs, words of encouragement, guidance, cooking, dancing, the sound of her voice and laugh. “Love you, God Bless”.
We are grateful for the compassionate care Mom received over the years, from various doctors, nurses and personal support workers. Patsy’s memorial/celebration of life will be held on July 28, 2023. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to Mom’s favourite charities: Covenant House covenanthousetoronto.ca/ and Jessie’s – The June Callwood Centre for Young Women (jessiescentre.org/), or to your preferred charity. Thank you.
