It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Patrick J. Hynes of St. Bernard’s announces his passing. Patrick passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, at the age of 94.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his sons, Paddy Hynes (Peggy Murphy) of Alberta and Bradley Hynes of Alberta; daughters, Barbara Dominaux (Charles) of Bay L’Argent, Sharon Hynes (Guy Scott) of Little Harbour East and Mandy Hynes (Paul Harris) of Jacques Fontaine; 8 grandchildren, Paul, Chloe, Robert (Megan), Marcus (Lindsey), Cameron, Madison, Mason and Emma; 3 great-grandchildren, Kadence, Nolan and Liam; brothers, Wayne Hynes, Kenneth Hynes and Kevin Hynes; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hynes; plus a large circle of family and friends.
Patrick was predeceased by his wife, Bernice Hynes; parents, Philip & Blanche Hynes; brothers, Samuel Hynes and Stephen Hynes; sisters, Lucy Walsh, Elizabeth Walsh, Sadie Corrigan, Phyllis Hodder and Hilda Hynes.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, St. Bernard’s on Monday, January 2nd, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, St. Bernard’s.
In Patrick’s memory, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula SPCA or flowers gratefully accepted.
