Passed away suddenly with his family and friends by his side at the Ottawa General Hospital on November 13th, 2022. Beloved spouse of Lina Duguay for 30 years, dear son of late William England and Léa (Valcourt). Loving brother to André and Louise (Pierre Meunier) of Hearst, Ontario and brother-in-law to Elaine Krcel (Karl) of Timmins, Ontario. Also survived by nieces and nephew (Stephanie, Jonathan, Gabrielle, Danielle, and Jessica).
Born in Hearst, Patrick moved to Ottawa to pursue a career in architecture. He worked for many different firms before opening his own company (P-Squared Concepts) alongside his friend, and business partner, Patrick Rutherford. Patrick was a history buff, a great designer, an avid reader, but above all, he was a great friend, mentor, a teacher for many, and a father-figure for some.
Patrick loved the outdoors and specifically enjoyed spending his summer at the cottage with Lina. He also loved being at home in his man cave watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, working on his Lego’s and spending time with his cat. He was always caught up on all current events happening in the world, and he loved to engage in complex conversations. He will be deeply missed and will be remembered for his unique sense of humour.
A special thanks to the Ottawa Hospital caregiving staff, Dr. Romanova, Dr. McIntyre, and his nurse Emma. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Hearst.
Donations may be made in Patrick’s memory to the Canadian Liver Foundation and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Patrick England Sunday November 13th 2022..
