Obituary of Patricia Desmarais

Desmarais, Patricia (Pat), age 79, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, teacher, community volunteer and friend to so many. Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at WRH-Met Campus, surrounded by her daughters Catherine (Cate) and Melissa Creede and sister Fran Lauzon. Will be deeply missed by her son-in-law Maurizio and grandchildren Maya and Micaella as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and dozens of friends.
Pat’s students from her many years teaching English at Brennan show up in the most surprising places, naming her as their favourite and most inspiring teacher. She was tirelessly involved in her community, as a generous volunteer with the Kidney Foundation and Hospice, a eucharistic minister, RCIA, and many other parish activities. Despite her tiny size, she played university basketball and loved watching the Lancer Women play. Her book club, Card Sharks, church ladies (Les Girls), RWTO and morning mermaids will all miss her.
Donations to the Welcome Shelter Centre for Women and Hospice of Windsor and Es County would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Funeral Visitation at Windsor Chapel, Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Monday, July 11th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Time of prayers to be confirmed. Visitation to continue on Tuesday, July 12th after 10:15 am at Ste. Anne’s Parish Tecumseh until time of Mass at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow at Windsor Crematorium. 1. So very sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Creed. What wonderful memories I have of my English teacher from years past at Brennan High School…Mrs. Creed left a mark in many hearts; forever remembered!
    Thank you Mrs. Creed!
