Patricia Maes
1944 – 2022
Patricia Lucille Maes (nee Mikalchuk) was born in Brandon, Manitoba and passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on July 30, 2022, at the age of 78 years.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Romain; four children: David (Tracy) Montgomery, Susan Kessler, Michael (Dana) Maes and Michelle (Elliott) Wylie. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Since her retirement, Pat was an active member of the St. Patrick’s Church Quilting Club. She loved travelling to Mesquite, Nevada where she enjoyed trying her luck at 20 card keno and spin poker. Pat was passionate about the CFL and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. She loved a great meal with family and friends and happy hour with a Bacardi and Coke.
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be officiated by Father John Maes in Calgary, Alberta at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice, 156 – 3 Street N.E., Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 5M1.
