GRANT, Patricia Isabel “Pat”
March 3, 1936 – September 8, 2022
Suddenly entered into rest at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, Ontario, on Thursday, September 8, 2022, Pat Grant of Picton, formerly of Port Dover, died at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late William and Isabel Lord (nee Thomson) and loving wife of Murray. Patricia was the cherished step-mother of Susan Grant (Steven Thorpe) of Wellington. She is predeceased by her sister Gladys Shortreed (surviving Gerald) of Fergus and she will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Pat will be sadly missed by her best friend, Jan Arnou of Port Dover.
Pat was retired as the Director of Nursing at Norfolk General Hospital, a graduate of Toronto Western Hospital, 1958, she eared a B.Sc. in Nursing in 1959, and her Master’s in Nursing Administration from University of Western Ontario in 1975. She was a life member of the Lioness Club of Port Dover and she was an avid Dog Lover.
Mrs. Grant rested at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment at Port Dover Cemetery at a later date.
