Obituary
Peacefully, on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Southampton Care Centre in her 76th year. Pat, beloved wife of Bob. Loving Mom of Leah and her husband Todd Howe, and Valerie and her husband Brent Firminger. Proud and loving Nana of Darcy, and Clara. Dear sister-in-law of Heather and her husband Barry Adams. Loving aunt of Ryan.
Pat touched the lives of many through her work, friendships and contributions to the community. Pat was a nurse with the Victorian Order of Nurses for most of her career, where she will be remembered for her caring touch, warmth, and kindness. She was also an advocate for women’s issues, as a member and President of the Southport CFUW. She cared about the community in which she lived. She helped to initiate the Block Parent program, and volunteered as a Brownie Leader when her daughters were young. Pat led a full life filled with laughter and love which she shared with her friends and family. She will be forever held close in the hearts of many.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be announced in the spring.
Memorial donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario or the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
