WEST, BRIAN and ANNE
After a brave battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, Brian Edward West passed away peacefully on Monday May 23rd, 2022 at QHC Belleville General Hospital in his 82nd year, with his beloved wife Anne and his daughter Cathy at his side. Brian is survived by his brother Bruce (Linda). Brian had 2 children, Stephen (Kristina) who pre-deceased him and Cathy (Martin). Brian was step-father to Diane (Ray) and Glenn (Jill) and uncle to Craig and Daryl. On June 6th, 2022 Brian’s wife, Patricia Anne West (nee Henry) passed away peacefully after a short illness in her 85th year. Anne, the loving mother of Marion (Doug), Lori-Anne and Sean (Candy). Brian and Anne will be sadly missed by their grandchildren, Philip (Katelyn), Kevin, Caitlin, Matthew, Olivia, Zoe, Galen, RJ, Harley, Kristal, Stephanie, Michael and great-grandchildren, Jason, Dimitri, Phoenix, Hayden, William and Bryce. The family would like to thank the staff at Hastings Manor Belleville and the staff at QHC Belleville General Hospital in the Emergency Department and on the 6th floor Quinte Wing for their care of Brian and Anne during their final days. A service and celebration of life for Brian and Anne will be held on July 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St Columba Presbyterian Church, 520 Bridge St E, Belleville. A light lunch will follow. They will be interred at Prospect Cemetery in Toronto at a later date. Donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada and, in memory of Anne, to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice in their memories.
