Pamela Lynn Breau, née Read, passed away
peacefully with family by her side on August 31, 2022 at The Moncton
Hospital. Pam was the daughter of the late George and Orrie (Adams)
Read of Moncton, New Brunswick.
Pam attended Horton Academy in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She
worked at the Moncton Hospital in the pharmacy department as a
certified clerk for many years, retiring in the mid 90’s.
While raising her family, she was actively involved in Girl Guides
with her daughters, and sports and activities with her sons. Pam was
also an active member of the CWA for many years. Pam loved travelling
with Mike and their friends down south and throughout Europe. She
graciously hosted many big family dinners and made sure everyone was
included. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed her weekly bridge
club. Her love of gardening produced beautiful perennial beds that
were expanded every year to the delight of all who saw them. Several
years after her husband Mike’s passing in 2011, Pam felt
like the luckiest girl in the world when she found love again with her
partner for the past few years, Sid Smith. Together they travelled to
many places, attended sports games, concerts and could always be found
laughing and enjoying their retirement.
Pam will be forever missed by her loving partner, Sid; her
children: Marc of Banff, AB, Lisa (Mike) of Cocagne, Danielle of
Peterborough, ON, and Robert (Janic) of Kinnear Settlement; her nine
grandchildren: Caitlin, Sean, Jesse, Adam, Nicholas, Renée,
Lucinda, William and Anna; three great-grandchildren: Nora, Rhett and
Calla; her siblings: David Read (Peggy) and Bruce Read, Rick Blank,
Rodney Blank and Bobby Blank; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Simone
and Don Lawrence, David and Angie Breau, Pauline Breau, Peter and Anne
Breau, John and Barbara Breau and Frankie Breau; as well as many
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, her step-father Jack Blank, and
her husband Mike, Pam was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Suzie,
whom she kept alive in memory every day of her life.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards
the doctors and nurses of The Moncton Hospital for their exceptional
care provided to Pam.
A celebration of life will be held at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday October
5, 2022 from 10 am until 12 noon followed by a reception.
Face covering is strongly recommended.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in
Dieppe. In memory of Pam, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton
Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
