Oscar LeBlanc
Oscar LeBlanc, 67, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully at home,
surrounded by his family, on Friday September 30, 2022. He was married
to Rhonda Richard -LeBlanc. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the
late Ovila and the late Rita (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Oscar was very involved in his community having served as town
councilor of Bouctouche for 15 years and numerous other committees. He
had a passion for horses and horse racing; he travelled through
Atlantic Canada and the US to pursue his sport.
He will be sadly missed by his spouse, Rhonda, his daughter; Isabelle
LeBlanc (Louis-Philippe) of Shediac, Monette LeBlanc-Richard (Jason)
of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, the mother of his children, Lucie, his
stepson, Jeremy Chiasson and his granddaughters; Monica and Melanie.
He also leaves to mourn his sister, Alberta Cormier (Donald) of Baie
de Bouctouche, his brothers; Rhéal (Jeannette) of Bouctouche,
Fernand (Diane) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Paul (Simonne) of Cap
Lumière and several nieces and nephews.
Oscar was predeceased by one brother, Albert.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche, on Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 7
to 9pm and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and from 5:30 to 6: 45pm. The
Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic
Church, on Thursday October 6, 2022 at 7:00pm.
Face masks mandatory at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Collecte de Dinde or Seuil de
l’Espoir would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral
Home, Bouctouche.
