Peacefully at the Deep River and Community Hospital on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Gene Harvey of Petawawa, loved and cherished father to Michele MacDonald, Lynda Harvey and Krista McNanney (Scott). Loving grandfather to Zachary Harvey, Luke Harvey-Benoit, Joseph MacDonald, Emma MacDonald, Ashley MacDonald, Marc McNanney and Ryleigh McNanney. Gene was the last surviving son of the late Joseph and Ida (nee Steacy) Harvey. Gene will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews and special friends Richard and Pauline Turcotte. Respecting Gene’s wishes cremation has taken place
A Celebration of Gene’s life will be held at the Petawawa Legion Br. 517 at a later date and will be announced.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the Deep River and District Community Hospital, for their compassion and care shown to our father during his time there.
In memory of Gene donations to the Deep River and District Community Hospital or the OSPCA would be appreciated.
