Opal McNulty 1938 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Opal McNulty on October 31st, 2022 at Case Manor, Bobcaygeon, at the age of 84, with her loving daughter by her side. Cherished mother of Bonnie Peterson (David), Opal was predeceased by her husband Charlie McNulty, her infant daughters Prudy and Allison, her mother and father, Margaret and David Wilson, her siblings, Marguerite Petersen, Dean Wilson (late Eleanor), Del Wilson, Burt Wilson and her sisters in law Orpha and Annie and brothers in law T.P. and Lawrence. Opal is survived by her sister-in-law Pat Wilson. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Opal spent many years working at the Bonnechere Manor where she made many friends until her retirement in 2003. In retirement Opal enjoyed volunteering for the Calabogie Home Support. Opal will be remembered by many for her wonderful smile and love of joking around and having fun.
A visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S., Renfrew, on Friday, November 4th, 2022 from 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 1044 Madawaska St, Calabogie, ON, on Saturday, November 5th, 2022, at 10:30 am followed by interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Springtown. If so desired, donations may be made in memory of Opal to Parkinson Society Canada.
