Jackson, Iona (nee Kirkpatrick) – Passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Place, Cambridge, on Friday January 14, 2022 at the age of 97. Cherished mother of Marion Pickering, Nancy Gimmer, John and Catherine, Elmer (Jennifer), Robert (Wendy) and Scott (April). Predeceased by beloved husband Robert (2001), daughter Olive Ryan, sons-in-law James Pickering, George Ryan and Hal Gimmer, and siblings Irene, Gilbert and Vera. Proud grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Iona was the last surviving member of her generation, she will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. At Iona’s request, cremation has taken place, with a private family service being held. As an expression of sympathy, donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of St. Luke’s Place for their care and compassion.
