Olga Nichols, loved and appreciated by many, passed on to her reward on August 13, 2022 at the age of 97.
Olga was born in Oyen, Alberta, 3rd of 4 children and was the last of them to pass into eternity.
Olga first met the workers, Mary Manning and Annie Pratt, when she was 7. She never forgot them. She was 15 before she could sit in meetings regularly, and 17 when she made her choice to serve God. Seven years later she started in the ministry.
In 1955 she went to Germany to labor with the hope of taking the gospel to the Ukraine. After a few years the way opened for her to go to Poland and East Germany and for the next 20 years she was able to make yearly visits to these countries. Her last visit was in 2000.
To the very end she had a keen interest in the sowing of the gospel seed all over the world with a special interest in eastern Europe. She also had a very great appreciation for those who cared so willingly for her while she spent her last days in the care home. Her family also thanks you, and a very heartfelt special thanks goes to Janice Keech, and Bev Campbell.
A Funeral Service will be held for Olga at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home (10011 – 114 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta). Olga will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Olga Nichols 2022..
