Obituary for
Normand “Norm” Gauthier
The family announces with sorrow, after a brief, but hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, his passing on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 60 years.
Left to mourn, are his loving wife Margaret Ann Lee, his 3 beautiful girls, Nichole (Luc), Deborah (Marc) and Leeann and his loving mother Henriette. Proud grandpa to 8 grandchildren, Brianna, Austin, Nathan, Eli, Liam, Nicholas, Noah, and Jaxson. Dear brother of Solange (Doug), Raymond, Alain, Doris and Manon (Michel). Predeceased by his father Fernand Gauthier (2014). He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Normand met Margaret, the love of his life, in Burlington when they were in high school; they married in 1997 and built a beautiful life together with their 3 beautiful daughters, and their 8 grand children. He dedicated his life to them and was their biggest supporter no matter what they under took. His pride for his girls was simply unmatched.
Normand worked for Bradley Brothers/Major Drilling since 1986 and made many friendships during his career. He is remembered fondly as being a good natured and easygoing guy who always offered a smile and a helping hand. His years of hard work and dedication to the same company was admirable.
Normand loved the outdoors and was always adventurous. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman who enjoyed camping with his family and they had many memorable adventures through the years. Kayaking, and exploring the outdoors remained one of his great passions.
We know you’ll be watching over us, just as you always have.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at TDH, Thank you to his oncologist Dr Jani, and his cancer fighting team in Sudbury.
Remembrance donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 7pm upstairs at Top Shelf Lounge (184 Second Ave., Timmins).
