January 7, 1955 – April 27, 2022
Sydney
It is with deep sadness that we announce thepeaceful passing of Norman Wayne Wrathall on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, atHospice Cape Breton.
Born January 7, 1955, in Sydney, he was theson of the late Stephen and Alma (O’Brien) Wrathall.
Norman is survived by his wife of almost 46years, Dianne (Boudreau); sons, Wayne (Yolanda) and Corey (Laura);grandchildren, Kennedy, Carter, Jordyn and Walker; brothers, Allan and Harry.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased byhis brothers, Walter and Alex; sister, Margaret “Liz”; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Edna Boudreau; and grandson, Owen.
Norman was a lover of music and nothing madehim more proud than completing a DIY project at one of his son’s homes andenjoying the odd snarky comment with his daughter in-laws. Later in life, his pride and joy became hisgrandchildren. He was an active andloved Grandpa by all of them. They eachbrought happiness and joy to him with each visit. But lastly, Norman would rarely be seenwithout his soulmate and wife, Dianne. They truly shared a love that anyone would envy.
The family would like to thank the CancerSociety of Cape Breton, the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Dept. andthe doctors and nurses at Hospice Cape Breton for caring for Norman through hissickness and last days.
Visitation will be held at Sydney MemorialChapel on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held inthe chapel on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11a.m. with Rev. Bill Burke officiating.
