Norman Hone 1951 2022

Norman Hone
1951 – 2022
Norman Hone passed away in Medicine Hat on Thursday, January 20, 2022, shortly after his 70th birthday. He fought a courageous but short battle with cancer. Norman had an amazing support group, always surrounded by family, friends and peers from Redi and Core. His life was wonderful! He travelled extensively to many places including Hawaii, Disney World, Disneyland, Alaska, Branson, Missouri and eight cruises. He worked at Core, then Redi Bottle Depot and eventually retiring from Redi Recycling. Bowling, darts and shooting pool were his favorite sports to play with his peers and he attended many dances and parties for every occasion. Norman loved ice cream, hamburgers, french fries and coke. He also loved his favourite DVD’s – John Wayne and “Hubba Bubba” pretty girls… he was especially fond of women. Norman was separated from his two brothers for 54 years and oh what a celebration it was when they found him! Norman is survived by his brother, Mike (Diane) Hone; nieces, Kathy and Sherry and family in Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his brother, Larry Hone. Norman lived with Pete and Diane Vanderham and family for 35 years, and in Diane’s words, “We say goodbye to our friend, our chosen brother and my “Earth Angel”. Go rest in peace, fly with the angels and dance with the stars.” Due to the current restriction in place, Norman’s celebration will be private and by invitation only.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Norman Hone 1951 2022..
