Obituary for
Norman Frederick Durnford
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman Frederick Durnford announces his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Thursday, December 8, 2022, age 87 years of Hermitage, formerly of McCallum.
Norman leaves to mourn his loving family: daughter, Gladys Pennell (Frank) and Lena Pack (Tom); son, Roland; grandchildren, Tracey, Darryl, Chaisty and Christopher; four great grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Fudge and Fanny Fudge (Earl); brothers, Everette Durnford (Barbara) and Lloyd Durnford (Linda); brother in law, Reg Lilly; as well as a large circle of other family members and friends.
Norman was predeceased by his wife, Queena Durnford; parents, Joshua and Elsie Durnford (Durnford); sisters, Sylvia Lilly and Annie Fudge; brother, Eric Durnford; brothers in law, Lloyd Fudge and Reg Fudge; great niece, Sommer MacDonald.
Visitation will take place at St. Saviour’s Haven at Hermitage on Saturday, December 10 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hermitage.
Everyone is respectfully asked to wear a mask.
