Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mom and grandmother Norma Phyllis Logue on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Loch Lomond Village in Saint John. Norma was born at home on November 24, 1930, to Inez and Norman Perkins in west Saint John.
Anyone who knew Norma would remember her as beautiful, kind, friendly, “dressed to the nines”, strong, intelligent, and an independent lady. She loved her family with all her heart and soul and made many, many friendships over the years. Norma worked most of her career for the late Richard Oland at Moosehead Breweries and then until her retirement at Brookfield Transport. Retirement did not slow her down, she then travelled whenever she had the opportunity as well as volunteering for Horizon Health and at the cruise ship terminal. Norma loved to be on the go. Preferably in a bright red sports car!!
Norma leaves to mourn her daughters Denise Smith (Saint John), Debbie Ells (David), (Petawawa, Ontario), and son Norman Logue (Saint John); grandson Corey Smith (Saint John) and granddaughters Jennifer Ells and Jacqueline Newcombe (Petawawa, Ontario); great-grandchildren Asia Smith (Saint John), Ashley Newcombe (Petawawa, Ontario) and Raven Smith (Saint John). Norma forever missed the love of her life Ronnie (Buck) Logue since 1983, her daughter Mary since 1970, her mom, dad, sister Evelyn, brother Billie and her dear friend Daisy.
Norma lived most of her life in west Saint John but moved to the east side in 2010. Loch Lomond Village became her home in September 2021 where she met new friends.
Special thanks to Margaret Thibodeau for taking Norma under her wing and providing such a beautiful friendship in “The Village” and to special friends June and Joe Flynn and Cathy Steeves for their love and friendship over the years.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) from 2:00 – 8:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish (St. Rose Church) on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00am.
