Obituary of Nora Sheila Bennett
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nora Sheila Bennett announce her peaceful passing at her private residence in Flat Bay, NL on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the age of 85 years with her husband William and her best friend and sister-in-law Annmarie Young by her side.
She leaves to mourn with many loving memories her husband of 63 years, William; children: Larry (Pat), Norma (George), Alvin (Christina), Paul, Paddy (Anita), Vaughan, Francis (Stella), Steven (Carla), Denise (Elton), Dennis (Rhonda), Derrick (Tiffany); son-in-law Ronald Jesso; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, her best friend Pat Alley, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Nora was predeceased by her parents Rose Sheppard and Patrick Sheppard; son John Bennett; sisters Bertha and Bernice,; brother Ron; daughters-in-law Kimberley Bennett and Lorraine Bennett.
Respecting Nora’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the St Ann Roman Catholic Church in Flat Bay. Church service will follow on Friday, July 22, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the St. Ann Church in Flat Bay. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Flat Bay.
Donations may be made to the Janeway Hospital.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.
