Obituary of Nola Clarke Bak
Clarke Bak: Nola –
A resident of Tilbury and formerly of Thamesville, Nola Clarke Bak passed away at the Tilbury Manor Nursing Home on January 15, 2022 at the age of 75.
Born in London, Nola was the daughter of the late William and Shirley (Lee) Clarke.
Beloved wife of the late George Bak (2018).
Dear mother to Chandra Clarke (Terry Johnson) and Aaron Bak.
Proud grandmother to Tiernan, Egan, Rhodri and Aelwen.
Sister to the late Robin Clarke.
Nola was a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force where she served at CFB Medley in Alberta. She hosted a talk show for several years based out of London, Ontario called Bak Talk. Nola was also a founding member of the Thamesville Historical Society and was also an organizer for the 1988 Battle of the Thames reenactment. She also served as Councillor for the Village of Thamesville.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service to celebrate Nola’s life at 3:00 p.m. Those planning to attend are required to register online at or by phoning the Funeral Home. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask. In keeping with Nola’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
