Obituary
It is with extremely heavy hearts that our beloved son, brother (in-law too), and uncle passed away on July 14, 2022, with his family by his side at KGH ICU, at the age of 26 years. Niko John William Maloff was born in Kelowna on November 26, 1995.
Niko was the most courageous young man you will have ever met. He may have been dealt a lot of “challenges”, but he took them on headfirst and never gave up. He kept up to his big brother Mikhail – together they have done downhill skiing, winter tube rides, water tube rides, water slides, amusement parks, played football together, and things he did before Mikhail was zipline, as well as other activities and secrets shared between the two.
Niko was a brave young man, his smile lit up a room – no matter what kind of day you are having – his smile took away your problems with a ray of sunshine.
He will be deeply missed by his mom Jane, dad Bob, brother Mikhail, sister-in-law Breanne, his sweet nephew Bronson, and his best friend Angela (and family), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his two dogs Krank and Stoggie, as well as all his friends near and far. Niko fought a long hard life; he was our angel on earth and now he is an angel watching over us all. His wings were ready, but our hearts weren’t. Go rest high on the mountain sweet boy. We love you more than words can say.
Love you son/brother/uncle
We would like to thank all the staff of the KGH emergency department and up on ICU for the care and love you showed us and Niko during this time, July 10 -14, 2022.
Thank you.
A Celebration of Life will take place in mid-September.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Niko John William Maloff November 26 1995 July 14 2022 (age 26)..
