Obituary of Nick Demy Demetracopolous
Nicholas Demetracopolous (Nick Demy) passed away on October 28, 2022 in Stoney Creek. Nick is survived by his wife Gladys, brother George, niece Ella Wolfe (Steve), nephew Paul and his children Nicholas and Isabella and their mother Christine. Nick was born and educated in Thunder Bay, studied art and design in Toronto and spent his career in advertising. He was kind, thoughtful and respectful in his approach to life in general, to strangers he met and to family and his many friends. He was community minded and active in the local historical society, junior hockey and events promoting Stoney Creek. His best decision was to join in union with Gladys (Wizniak) his wife of 47 years. Her warmth and generous spirit both complemented and expanded his humanity. Nick was in his 91st year. He joins his parents Helen and Apostolos (Paul), sister and brother-in-law Mary and Ken Imperius, all of Thunder Bay and his sister-in-law Rita of Toronto. Our gratitude and appreciation to the local emergency services and to St. Joseph’s Hospital Emergency Dr. Ma and staff for their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Nick’s life with be held at a later date. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
