Desforges, Nicolas, Victor (1993-2022)
Nicholas Victor Desforges unexpectedly passed away at the age of 29 on Friday, November
18th, 2022. He leaves behind many family members, including parents, Brenda Turpin and
Norman Desforges; older sister, Samantha Desforges-Sauve; older brother, Shane Hamilton;
grandmother, Jeannette Kasabosk; and numerous other extended family members, who love
and miss him more than words can express.
Nicky was typically quiet and shy – masking his tenderheartedness – yet always had an
eagerness to help. He had an innate proclivity to tinker with things – taking bikes and electronics
apart to put them back together, usually in customized fashion, using random materials. He also
enjoyed spending one-on-one time with his father, Norm, including hiking, working on cars, and
tackling home renovations.
A memorial service will be held for Nick on Saturday, December 3rd, at 3pm at Simple Wishes.
In lieu of flowers, Nick’s family is asking for donations to be sent to the Canadian Mental Health
Association to help others with mental complexities and addictions – where it is needed most in
our society today. Cremation services provided by, Simple Wishes of the North Sudbury.
