Nellie Bernadine “Dena” (Anderson)
George. We are very saddened to announce the passing of our mother on
June 8, 2022 at Glen Haven Manor. Born in New Glasgow on May 16, 1947,
she was a daughter of the late Mervan and Alice (Frazee) Anderson. She
is survived by three sons: Robin, Timothy and Coleman Jr.; and one
daughter, Heidi; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;
two brothers: Melvin (Linda), and Roy (Paula); and one sister, June
Jones, of New Glasgow. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a
son, Scott; her common-law husband, Coleman George Sr; two sisters:
Emma and Susan; and a brother, John; as well as two brothers and four
sisters in infancy. She is also survived by several nieces and
nephews. She was recently predeceased by long-time friend, Gary
MacLean and is survived by his three children. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9
pm Sunday, June 12, in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New
Glasgow. Masks recommended for those attending the visitation. Funeral
2 pm Monday, June 13, in Christian Life Church, 172 N Foord Street,
Stellarton, with Pastors John and Sarah Hawley officiating. Interment
in Abercrombie Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to
Diabetes Canada or Christian Life
Church.
